St Peters has a robed choir, which sing traditional hymns (including Anglican Chants at Matins) modern hymns including contemporary worship songs and music from Iona and Taize, for the weekly Eucharist service. We sing Matins service quarterly and evening services such as Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, and Ascension Day.
We are always looking for new members: sopranos, altos, tenors and basses. The ability to read music is not essential but is preferable.
Thursdays 7:00 pm start to 8:15 pm in the chapter rooms.
We have a group of singers which sing at the non Eucharist family service on the first Sunday of the month, new members are welcome.
