Christian Aid Sponsored Walk

Parking – There is plenty of free parking in the Community Centre car park in the village. This can be entered via Mill Street. In the top left hand corner of the car park there is a short lane that leads immediately into the Square. This comes out almost directly opposite the registration point at the Parish Rooms. Another car park can be found at the back of the Parish Rooms and is immediately adjacent to Barry’s Meadow. The entrance for this car park is at the bottom of Southampton Hill. A third car park can be found off Bridge Street by the canal. It’s entry is by the bridge and traffic calming. Be careful if you park in the Square as some spaces are 30 minutes only and some are for the disabled. They are all clearly marked.

Picnic site – Barry’s meadow is immediately behind the Parish rooms. It is a large grass recreation ground with play equipment for young children.

Dogs – are very welcome on the walk if they are well behaved but they absolutely must be kept on a lead at all times.

Timing – the long walk will begin at 1.45 but the medium walk and the short family walk will begin at 2pm.
