‘Thy kingdom come, thy will be done’
Monday 9 May to Friday 13 May
St Peter’s response to the letter from the Archbishops Justin Welby and John Sentamu – which they sent to all parishes in the Church of England – will be to meet together to reflect on The Lord’s Prayer:
praying it, meaning it, living it.
There will be a separate session in the Chancel each morning at 10-11am and repeated in the evening at 7-8pm reflecting on the following specific words:
- Monday – “Our Father…”
- Tuesday – “Thy Will Be Done…”
- Wednesday – “…Our Daily Bread”
- Thursday – “As We Forgive…”
- Friday – “…In Heaven”
It is our hope that people will be able to join in as many sessions as possible, as we want to see a great wave of prayer across our land in the week leading up to Pentecost
One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he finished, one of his disciples said to him,
“Lord teach us to pray…”
(Luke 11: V1. NIV)
